KETEPATAN PERGESERAN DAN HASIL TERJEMAHAN PADA STRUKTUR KELOMPOK NOMINA DALAM TEKS ILMIAH (PENDEKATAN LINGUISTIK SISTEMIK FUNGSIONAL) (Analisis buku Wireless Networking and the Developing World Dan Buku Terjemahannya)

Abstract

Abstrak Dalam setiap teks bidang sains akan mudah ditemukan frasa nomina. Frasa ini tersusun dari kata benda sebagai inti dan unsur penjelas. Menurut Halliday (2005) terdapat empat macam frasa nomina. Mereka adalah pre-classifier, classifier thing, pre-deictic dan possessive deictive^thing. Dalam makalah ini penulis menganalisis sejumlah data frasa nomina dari buku yang berjudul Wireless Networking in the Developing World dan versi terjemahan nya. Fokus makalah ini terletak dalam ketepatan pergeseran dan hasil terjemahannya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis bisa disimpulkan bahwa pada data analisis frasa nomina terbagi menjadi dua, yakni frasa classifier^thing dan pre-classifier. Frasa nomina jenis classifier^thing sering bergeser menjadi thing^classifier. Namun, ada juga yang berubah menjadi pre-classifier. Pergeseran tersebut tidak berdampak terhadap keakuratan makna. Makna terjemahan yang dihasilkan tergolong akurat. Sementara itu, terjemahan frasa jenis pre-classifier mengalami pergeseran bentuk. Namun keakuratan terjemahan nya tergolong rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh hilang nya aspek informasi bahasa sumber ketika diterjemahkan. Halliday (2005) explained that there are four different nominal phrases. They are pre-classifier, classifier thing, pre-deictic d possessive deictive^thing. This paper will analyze a number of nominal phrase in a book entitled Wireless Networking in the Developing World and the translation.This paper focused on shifting and translation accuracy. Based on the result analysis, it can be concluded that there have been found two kind of nominal phrases, they are classifier^thing and pre-classifier. It was also often found that classifier^thing shifted into things^classifier. But there was one of this type nominal phrase shifted into pre-classifier. Meanwhile the shifted did not influence the translation text. The accuracy is good. In the meantime, the shifted in pre-classifier type lead into inaccuracies. The grammatical structure is ambiguous which do not suitable in target language linguistic system. Keywords: shifting of accuracy, translation, nominal phrase structure
