Abstract

Abstrak Bahasa memiliki peran penting dalam komunikasi manusia. Tanpa bahasa, manusia tidak dapat melakukan interaksi satu sama lain. Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan analisis struktural dan tindak tutur yang merupakan bagian dari pragmatik. Ketika pembicara mengatakan sesuatu, pendengar harus memahami maksud pembicara. Dalam hal ini, praanggapan dan perikutan dapat ditemukan dalam Bahasa Inggris maupun Bahasa Jepang. Penelitian ini akan membahas lebih lanjut tentang perbedaan praanggapan dan perikutan dalam bahasa Inggris dan Bahasa Jepang. Kata Kunci: pragmatik, praanggapan, perikutan Abstract Language has an important role in human language communication. Without a languge, human cannot do interaction to each other. This research is related to structural analysis and speech act, a part of pragmatics. When a speaker says something, a hearer should understang the intention of speakers. It turns out both English and Japanese a presupposition and entailments. This research will explore more about differences of presupposition and entailments in English and Japanese.
