Abstrak

Seorang peenerjemah lisan dalam melakukan tugas – tugasnya tidak dapat dipisahkan dari proses – proses yang meliputinya dalam menyampaikan terjemahanya tersebut. Hal ini dapat diukur dari cara seorang penerjemah lisan mengatur antara teks, tempat, dan pelaku. Ketika dia gagal dalam menggabungkan ketiga hal tersebut, dia akan gagal untuk menterjemahkan suatu teks secara lisan, atau dia tidak dapat menciptakan hasil terjemahan yang baik dan berterima kepada para pendengar. Kemampuan mendengarkan dan memori jarak pendek adalah hal-hal yang penting dalam melaksanakan proses penerjemahan secara lisan

Abstract

An interpreter in doing his responsibilities cannot be separated from the processes that are yielded in performing his interpretation. This can be measured from the way an interpreter copes with the text, place and participant. When he fails to comprehend them, he will fail to comprehend the text, or he cannot create a reliable speech to the hearer /audience. Listening skill and short – term memory are the important thing in obtaining the process of interpretation.
