<p><strong>Diglossia: Jurnal Kajian Ilmiah Kebahasaan dan Kesusastraan</strong> (Print-ISSN:<a title="nomor pISSN" href="https://portal.issn.org/resource/ISSN/2085-8612"> 2085-8612</a> and Online-ISSN: <a href="https://portal.issn.org/resource/ISSN/2528-6897">2528-6897</a>) is a journal of Linguistics and Literature which is published twice a year in April and September by English Literature Department, Faculty of Business and Languages, University of Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum (Unipdu) Jombang, East Java, Indonesia.</p> <p>Diglossia has been accredited <strong>SINTA 4</strong> since September 2019. The journal covers research or conceptual framework on linguistic and literature issues. For linguistics, it covers sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis, pragmatics, stylistics, translation, and others. In the area of literature, it covers literary history, literary theory, literary criticism, and others, which may include written texts, movies, and other media. Articles published in the journal are written in Indonesian or English. Diglossia publishes 6 articles for each volume since Volume 01 Number 1 to Volume 14 Number 2. However, Diglossia publishes 10 articles for each volume since Volume 15 No 1, 2023. Authors are encouraged to submit complete, unpublished, original, and full-length articles that are not under review in any other journals. </p> <p>This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Its overriding objective is to provide a forum for scholars and practitioners in the mentioned areas to address a broad cross-section of the professions. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi makna gramatikal dalam klausa subordinatif berbahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa ketiga yang dipelajari oleh pemelajar BIPA. Data berupa kalimat yang teridentifikasi makna gramatikal dalam klausa subordinatif berbahasa Indonesia. Klausa itu teridentifikasi pada dua sumber data dari negara yang berbeda. Dua sumber data ini berjenis kelamin Wanita. Selanjutnya, Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis dengan metode analisis kualitatif terhadap data linguistik. Data tersebut dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis berbahasa Indonesia. Setelah data terkumpul, kemudian dilakukan analisis yang menggunakan teknik analisis konten/isi. Untuk itu hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi dalam pemahaman makna gramatikal dalam klausa subordinatif, meliputi makna gramatikal klausa subordinatif temporal (penanda waktu), makna kondisional (penanda syarat), makna kausal (penanda sebab), dan makna final (penanda tujuan). Dengan demikian, faktor-faktor seperti latar belakang bahasa pertama dan kedua, konteks komunikatif, dan tingkat kefasihan berperan dalam pemahaman dan produksi klausa subordinatif.<br /><br /><br /></p> <p><strong>Abstract</strong><br />This study aims to explore the grammatical meaning in Indonesian subordinate clauses as a third language learned by BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing) learners. The data consists of sentences that exhibit grammatical meaning in Indonesian subordinate clauses. These clauses were Obtained from two sources of data from different countries (China and Spain). Both sources are female. The study uses a descriptive-analytical approach with qualitative analysis methods applied to the linguistic data. The data were collected through written tests in Indonesian. After data collection, an analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques. The results of the study reveal variations in understanding grammatical meaning in subordinate clauses, including temporal meaning (time markers), conditional meaning (condition markers), causal meaning (cause markers), and final meaning (purpose markers). Thus, factors such as the first and second language backgrounds, communicative context, and level of fluency play a role in the understanding and production of subordinate clauses.</p>Roely ArdiansyahFransisca Dwi Harjanti Agung Pranoto
