Abstract

Abstract

Injury to the birth is canal into the entry into infectious bacteria. Good nutrition is necessary for the healing process. Calories and protein is a vital component of treatment. The purpose to determine the relationship of calorie and protein intake with the length of the perineal wound healing in Balowerti Puskesmas Kediri.

The method used is an analytical survey. The number of samples were 14 respondents, the sampling technique is using simple random sampling. Data collection using 24-hour recall form and using the observation sheets perineal wound healing. The results showed that postpartum women who fullfil calorie and protein intake in the category of deficits have long tended perineal wound healing time (more than 7 days).The conclusion that there is a relationship calorie and protein intake to the length of the perineal wound healing.
