Abstract

This research is about the implementation of role playing and mind mapping methods to improve learning outcomes of Islamic Cultural History at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darussalam Semanding Sumbermulyo Jogoroto Jombang. This research was conducted because of low student learning outcomes. This study uses a classroom action research design with two cycles of the Kurt Lewin model. The research subjects were VB class, which consisted of 24 students. Methods of data collection by observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. Flow Model is a data analysis technique used. The results showed that the application of the role playing and mind mapping methods could improve the learning outcomes of VB grade students at MI Darussalam Semanding Sumbermulyo Jogoroto Jombang on the material on the Wada Hajj Event. This is evidenced by the results, namely in the pre-cycle stage, the learning outcomes of 9 students completed with an average of 63.95 with a percentage of 37.5%. The first cycle stage of student learning outcomes increased with an average of 71.5 with a percentage of 62.5% and the second cycle stage also increased with an average of 90.29 with a percentage of 100%.
