PERAN GURU DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER MANDIRI DAN GEMAR MEMBACA SISWA MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH
Abstract
Character is a person's attitude towards his environment, both in the family, community and attitude towards God. In the 2013 curriculum, the government focuses on inculcating character in every lesson. Therefore, it cannot be separated from the role of a teacher in instilling a character in each student. In addition to parental support, there are many teacher roles that must be carried out while in learning. Thus, optimal character education will be created. Character education must be applied as early as possible, so that students are accustomed to positive characters in everything they do. Instilling a character in a student cannot be done instantly, therefore a teacher must have a fun way so that children easily understand the character to be instilled. Teachers must always improve their understanding of insights and skills related to character development in each lesson, either by telling stories or giving examples of real things.
