Pemanfaatan Teknologi Virtual Reality pada Pembelajaran Vocabulary Bahasa Prancis

Pemanfaatan teknologi untuk dunia pendidikan selalu menarik dan relevan untuk dikaji serta dikembangkan. Kemajuan teknologi multimedia tidak sewajarnya diabaikan oleh sistem pendidikan., salah satunya yang berbasis Virtual Reality. Virtual reality atau realitas virtual merupakan teknologi modern yang menampilkan gambar 3D secara langsung. Virtual reality memberikan efek immersive kepada penggunanya. Immersive adalah perasaan seolah olah berada dunia nyata. Saat ini teknologi virtual reality dikombinasikan dengan teknologi layar yaitu pada smartphone. Teknologi ini memberikan pengalaman yang mendekati kondisi aslinya. Dengan virtual reality, pengguna bisa menikmati simulasi suatu lingkungan yang diproses oleh komputer atau telepon cerdas. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pemanfaatan teknologi virtual reality pada pembelajaran vocabulary bahasa Prancis. Belajar bahasa Prancis dengan menggunakan teknologi VR diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efektivitas nilai pembelajaran minimal 15%. Di dalam aplikasi VR sebagai pembelajaran bahasa Prancis ini diisi oleh 61 objek yang tersebar di berbagai lokasi. Dari 61 objek tersebut ketika objek dipilih maka akan menampilkan nama objek tersebut dalam bahasa Prancis serta diputarkan audio pelafalanya. Aplikasi VR ini diujikan kepada siswa sebagai penelitian apakah aplikasi ini dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pada pembelajaran bahasa Prancis atau tidak. Pada kuesioner yang telah diberikan kepada responden dalam penelitian ini. Dapat diperoleh nilai bahwa didapatkan 87,14% pada penilaian terhadap kemiripan objek, 85,12% pada penilaian terhadap kegunaan informasi dan virtual reality mencapai 76,78%. Selain itu aplikasi virtual reality ini lebih efektif ketika digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Prancis, hal itu dibuktikan dengan adanya keunggulan antara nilai post-test siswa yang belajar bahasa Prancis menggunakan aplikasi VR dengan siswa yang belajar bahasa Prancis tanpa menggunakan VR yaitu sebesar 26,68%.
