HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN IBU TENTANG TOILET TRAINING DENGAN KEBERHASILAN TOILETING
Abstract
Knowledge about toilet training is very important for mothers, because with knowledge and understanding mothers will know the level of readiness of their children. The criteria for success in toileting activities are that the child is able to go to the toilet independently without help or being escorted by the mother, the stool is not scattered everywhere and the child is able to clean his genitals independently without the help of the mother. The research objective was to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge about toilet training and toileting success in preschool-age children in Cenggini village rw 04, Balapulang District, Tegal Regency in May-June 2022. This type of research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach, by distributing questionnaires for collecting data. The population in this study was 68 mothers who had preschool-aged children. Sampling was carried out using a systematic random sample, namely 58 mothers. This research was conducted in Cenggini Village Rw 04, Balapulang District, Tegal Regency. The variable of mother's knowledge about toilet training shows that most of them have good knowledge (50.0%). The success variable for toileting is that most preschoolers are successful (81.0%). Chi-square test results show ? Value: 0.005 < ?: 0.05. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant relationship between mother's knowledge about toilet training and the success of toileting in preschool-age children in Cenggini Village, Balapulang District, Tegal Regency.
