Review Process
At JMPM: Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika, we are committed to maintaining the highest academic rigour and integrity standards. Our peer-review process is designed to ensure the quality, validity, and originality of the manuscripts we publish. We employ a double-anonymous peer review system to provide unbiased and fair evaluations.
Double-Anonymous Peer Review
In our double anonymous peer review system, both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous to each other. This helps to prevent any potential bias and ensures that manuscripts are judged solely on their academic merit
Review Process Steps
1 Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts through our online submission system. All identifying information is removed from the manuscript to ensure anonymity
2. Initial Check: The editorial team performs an initial screening to ensure that the manuscript meets the basic requirements of the journal, including adherence to the journal's scope and formatting guidelines.
3. Assignment of Reviewers: Each manuscript is assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and lack of any potential conflicts of interest
4. Review Process:
- Reviewer Invitation: Selected reviewers are invited to review the manuscript. Upon acceptance, they are given access to the anonymised manuscript.
- Evaluation: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on criteria such as originality, methodological rigour, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the field. They provide detailed comments and suggestions for improvement.
- Recommendation: Reviewers sübmit their recommendations, which can be one of the following, accept, revisions required, resubmit for review, or reject.
5. Editorial Decision: The editorial team reviews the comments and recommendations from all reviewers. Based on this collective feedback, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication as is
- Revisions Required: The manuscript requires minor changes before it can be accepted. Authors are given a deadline to submit the revised manuscript.
- Resubmit for Review: The manuscript needs significant changes. Authors are given a deadline to resubmit the revised manuscript, which may undergo further review.
- Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in the journal.
6. Author Revisions: If revisions are required, authors revise their manuscript based on the reviewers' feedback and submit the revised version. This revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
7. Final Decision: The editonal team makes the final decision on the manuscript based on the revised version and any additional reviewer feedback. The final decision is communicated to the authors
Plagiarism Policy
JMPM: Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika is committed to upholding the highest integrity and academic honesty standards. We take plagiarism and other forms of research misconduct very seriously. This policy outlines our approach to detecting and handling plagiarism.
Plagiarism occurs when an author uses someone else's work, ideas, or words without appropriate attribution or permission. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Direct copying of text from another source without quotation marks and proper citation.
- Paraphrasing or rephrasing someone else's work without proper attribution.
- Using ideas or data from another source without acknowledgement.
- Submitting work that is not the author's own.
Similarity Index
All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using TurnitIn. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25%. Manuscripts that exceed this threshold will be rejected.
Screening Process
1. Initial Screening: Upon submission, each manuscript will be checked for plagiarism using TurnitIn.
2. Threshold Evaluation: If the similarity index is 25% or less, the manuscript will proceed to the peer review process.
3. High Similarity: If the similarity index exceeds 25%, the manuscript will be immediately rejected. Authors will be notified and provided with the plagiarism report.
If plagiarism is detected at any stage (before or after publication), the following actions will be taken:
1. Manuscript Rejection: The manuscript will be rejected if plagiarism is detected during submission
2. Retraction: The article will be retracted if plagiarism is discovered after publication The joumal will publish a retraction notice, and the author's institution may be notified
3. Author Notification: The corresponding author will be notified of the plagiarism and provided with a copy of the plagiarism report
Author Responsibilities
Authors must ensure their work is original and all sources are appropriately cited.

Publication Frequency
JMPM: Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika is published twice a year, in March and September.
Open Access Policy
JMPM: Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika is committed to promoting the broadest possible access to the published research and ensuring that it can be freely read, downloaded, copied, distributed, printed, searched, or linked to in full text, used as data for software, or utilised for any other lawful purpose without financial, legal, or technical barriers
All articles published in JMPM: Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This license allows others to share and adapt the work, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated.

1. Immediate Open Access: All articles are made freely available to the public immediately upon publication, without any embargo period.
2. Author Rights: Authors retain copyright to their work. By publishing in JMPM: Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika, authors grant the journal the right to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.
3. Reuse and Redistribution: Articles can be reused and redistributed for any purpose, including commercial use, as long as proper attribution is given to the original work.
4. Accessibility: We ensure that the full text of all published articles is available in PDF format to enhance accessibility and ease of use.
5. Transparency: Licensing terms are clearly indicated on the website and within the full text of all published articles.
6. No Registration Required: Readers are not required to register to access any part of the journal content
Archiving
JMPM: Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika stores back issues and current articles on the repository server of Universitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum. The authors' local collections of university content and archives are submitted digitally to Garuda.
