JMPM includes research in the field of mathematics education, mathematics, and application of mathematics. Editors invite research lecturers, the reviewer, practitioners, and observers to contribute to this journal. 

JMPM is a national journals are open to seeking innovation, creativity and novelty. Either letters, research notes, articles, supplemental articles, or review articles. JMPM aims to achieve state-of-the-art in theory and application of this field. JMPM provide platform for academics and scientists across Indonesia to promote, share, and discuss new issues and the development of mathematics and mathematics education.

Since December 2017, the journal has been ACCREDITATED with grade "SINTA 4" by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RistekDikti) of The Republic of Indonesia.

Since January 2021, the journal has been ACCREDITATED with grade "SINTA 3" by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RistekDikti) of The Republic of Indonesia. The recognition published in Director Decree B/1796/E5.2/KI.02.00/2020 December 30 2020 effective until 2023. The journal certificate can be downloaded here.
